This vine randomly started growing in the garden next to the hostas and rosebushes. Its got thorns and three green leaves. I googled it to see if it was poison ivy and it didn't really look like it. Can anyone tell me what it is?

No it isn't. What you have there is a common briar. Possibly a blackburry or rasburry vine. If it has white flowers then it is definitely a blackberry, dewberry or rasberry, however there are lots of common briars that look very similar to what you have photo-ed.

Poison ivy has three leaves like that, but the leaves are smooth edged and do not have grooves where the veins go through the leaves. Poisoin Ivy also DOES NOT have any thorns on the vines.

I don't think it is because poison ivy has the three leaves connected not like another branch off but i have no idea what it actually is because i am only 11 years old and bored to death.... well that is my answer.

Poison Ivy don't have thorns. But the sumac plants sometime do.

Poison oak can look and react the same as poison ivy. all three plants are contagious. i advise to stay clear from them.

It is either Dewberry or Blackberry. Both are a type of bramble and make edible berries when they are mature. The berries make an excellent wine, jelly, jam or cobbler.

Good luck and enjoy!
