My mom bought a 2nd home and the house has a pomegranate tree in the back yard. It already blooms and produces pomegranates, however, I want to know how to grow one at my mom's first house. Would it be easier to plant the seeds or trim a part off the first tree?

Try both. Seriously. I have a dwarf pomegranate in a pot and successfully grew another from a cutting. If that works, it will give you a quicker result. However if you also have access to seeds, by all means stick a bunch of them in a few little pots and just see what happens.

I'm not so sure whether pomegranate can be planted from cutting. If it is from seeds, it will take more time to grow.

I normally do bud-grafting techniques.
