Artificial hill to build a mansion on.?

Have you ever seen those vampire castles on a very high hill with spiral road that reaches to the castle in the movies?

Suppose you've got hundreds of millions of dollars, and you want to build a castle/mansion on a hill with the spiral road.

Is it possible to artificially make the hill somehow, or would you be adapting to the already present landscape? which would mean you'd be buying a mountain and shaping it?

Foundations have to be placed on undisturbed or compacted soil or bedrock. It'd be cheaper to buy the mountain than build it.

IF YOU HAVE MILLIONS OF DOLLARS, then yes...I would build an artificial hill, if I can't find a plot of huge land that already has a hill.

If I can find and buy a hill, which is hardly the case in this age...I would go for the second option!

So I prefer buying a hill rather than build one myself!

Buy the mountain. It would look a lot more natural.
