what fruits & vegetable's will grow from planting the seeds from food eaten?

Question

was wondering what seeds will sprout and grow from the foods that i buy from the supermarket?

i.e not buying the seeds from the plant section but buying the fruits themselves, eating them then planting the seeds.

So far my only success has been with chilies (worked incredible well)
ive tried apples, oranges, lemons, limes, mandarins, but don't see to be having any success

my little brother (age 5) is really into it and i'm looking for something that will grow into a tree (i.e apple or oranges)

what fruit/vegetable am i likely to have success with?

try soaking your apple seeds in water for 24 hours then plant them just under the surface of the soil.Tomato seeds are usually successful,n a carrot top about a 1/2 in thick-will sprout too-plant these in a deep container,at least 12 inches.Also,when potatoes sprout,just cut off a thick piece of peel with the sprouting on it,n plant ,again in a deep container.

some will artwork; some won't. i've got grown an orange tree from orange seeds. I improve garlic from what i purchase on the grocery. Many squash seeds are possible and could improve squash vegetation for you. Fruit seeds/pits frequently won't improve a plant that produces an identical type that the seed/pit got here from, however - this is going to likely be a go between the plant that produced the fruit, and regardless of plant pollinated it. may be good, might now. regardless of the undeniable fact that this is relaxing to aim it besides. i have tried dates and it worked. it grows but very slowly. ant it becomes very nice with 1 long leaf.if u take care of it becomes 2 after some months. grapes is also suitable for planting .
