Where can I buy clover seeds?

I am holding a grow-your-own clover event at school and I can't find any stores that have clover seeds. I live in New Jersey if that is helpful. Thank you!! :)

Look for a farmers feed and seed store in your area sometimes they are called Grange Co-op's. They stock different varieties of clover seeds.



You probably already know this since you are teaching the class, but Red Colver with the large Blue Flowers won't do well reproducing on it's own unless you have Bumble Bees to pollinate it.



The other varieties of Clover such as "Ladino" have white flowers and Sub Clover have yellow flowers because Honey Bees prefer to forage on white and yellow flowers. In fact, that is why most (not all) wild flowers are white or yellow. The honey bee pollinated the white and yellow flowers before they pollinated the other colors, so the white and yellow flowers proliferated while the other colors didn't get pollinated as often.

Most seed companies have green manure seed varieties, including clovers of various colors. Jung, Territorial and Baker Creek all list clover seeds among their green manure crops. If there is a farm supply store in your area (such as Tractor Supply) they probably have them as well, although it is probably in larger quantities than you would need unless you have a very large class.

You can either try a health food store or sometimes in the health food section in a grocery store you may be able to find these clover seeds your looking for. Seep in hot water. let stand in your cup for 4-5 minutes, makes a Delicious cup of tea.. add honey if you please.
