Willow water does work. Willow bark does contain aspirin (acetylsalicylic acid ) as do some other plants. The name aspirin comes from the Spirea plant. That was the source Mr. Bayer first used when he isolated it. Aspirin will not work. It is a misconception that it is the aspirin in the Willow that makes it work. You can easily propagate Willow by planting a twig. I do not see how honey could work but I can't say no.

You can also soak willow leaves and branches in water. Willow has natural growth and rooting hormones.
