I have just short of an acher, which ride on lawn mowers do you recommend?
Brands?
Where is the best place to get it from online? Or shop?

Go to a "dealer" who handles several " top" names and explain your yard "conditions" . ie--hills, trees etc. They will be able to steer you in the right direction. Price is another factor to consider.

A Shetland pony is good. Look in magazines - Country Life usually has a selection of mechanical mowers or an upmarket gardening magazine.

The Net is your best bet to choose but buy from a shop.
