Purchased a Desert Rose plant from my local nursery yesterday evening. The staff who sold me the plant told me to remove the plant from its container, wash off all the old soil from the roots, repot it into fresh cactus/succulent mix, and do not water for 2-3 days. I did all the above, and just noticed like an hour ago that two leaves are turning brown on the tips (the leaves were fine when I brought the plant yesterday). The browning areas feels dry and crunchy. Should I water the plant today?

thats weird instructions .. im sure washing the roots off shocked it .. i wouldnt drown it, as long as the soil is moist .. i would just keep it out of full sun and let it get used to things for a while ...

Yup, transplant shock. I would have left the roots in the soil it came in.
