Nightshade is one possibility (good images to help the person identify it), but isn't it more like a bush than a vine? It is here.
Wild grape is a vine that grows wild, and its fruit is small, in groups but not always like grape clusters, which go from green to black. We pull it because it can kill trees once it covers enough of it.
Scuppernongs also meet the description. Japanese honeysuckle, Solomon's Seal, and probably more I don't know are vines with berries that go from green to black.
But since it might be nightshade, don't taste them.
Any chance we can get a good picture of the leaves? And your general location? Both would be a help.

That sounds a bit like Belladonna - "Deadly nightshade"
