Can I reuse hanging basket liners?

Question

We have just moved into a new house which had some hanging baskets already in place with plants which we have removed (they were 1 season only). Can we empty the compost and re-use these with new plants and compost? The liners are some kind of brown straw (coconut liner?).

All help much appreciated.

Yes, we just rehung all our old baskets. Just pull out the old roots and add a little new soil or, replace the soil if you wish You will be glad you did.

Certainly - and reuse the compost to a point too - just add half new. I love reycyling!!!
