I am very interested in planting some Lupine seeds in the garden however I was curious if it is too late to plant the seeds right now? I was thinking about putting them in warm water for a day and then plant... Any thoughts would be appreciated! I live in southern Wisconsin.

Thank you

By the way Wisconsin weather usually stays in the low 80's... the highest average temperature in the middle of July is 82 degrees. Now it doesn't mean it doesn't get hot, it can get hot... but for the most part the low to mid 80's in the summer is the normal usually. That is why I am thinking that it wouldn't hurt to summer plant the Lupines.

Lupine...beautiful flower; does lupine grow at all in Wisc? Yes, go ahead and plant, take advantage of all the warm weather coming up. Here in the Southern CA desert lupine season has come and gone. In the high country of Arizona, the mountains around Prescott, lupine season is just beginning. Best luck, hope you get some beautiful plants.

i don't be responsive to approximately WI climate, yet, right here in OH, they reseed all on their very own. The lupines are dropping seeds now, and that they are going to germinate interior the spring. Why no longer do it now? i does no longer soak or something. placed them interior the floor, like mom Nature does.

Try it what have you got to lose? If anything you will have good plants already growing in your garden for next year. : )
